3. I've got issues! (Let's have a conversation...)
Religion is built around "issues." The Catholic faith has built up a treasure chest of "issues" during its 2000+ years of existence. It has developed beliefs, rules, guidelines, rituals, and spiritual practices throughout its history.

When we were kids, very often were told the rules, and told to follow them. That's what Catholics do! We might not have been old enough to appreciate or understand how a particular teaching or rule was developed and held as a part of our sacred Tradition.

We in the Young Adult Ministry Office might be able to help you. Sometimes a good conversation and an opportunity to explain the rationale, the history and the value that underlies an "issue" might be helpful.

Sometimes it's helpful to have a good conversation. If you wondered about things Catholics are expected to believe, or rules you are required to follow but don't understand why... or if you've heard things you just want to check out to see if they are true, we welcome a good conversation. Please give us a call at 312-466-9473. Or, email us at yam@yamchicago.org. We can set up a time to meet, or we can direct you to others well qualified to help you deal with those "issues."

And don't forget ... everybody has issues!
