Theology-on-Tap 2008

How-To-Tap-Into Theology-on-Tap

1) Pick a church.
Choose one church near where you live or work that is hosting Theology-on-Tap. Plan on attending all four sessions there. You will meet some new friends and have good conversations during the four weeks of Theology-on-Tap.

2) Pick a topic.
Choose a particular topic or issue among the several hundred offered that interests you. You are welcome to attend Theology-on-Tap at any church where the topic is being addressed.

3) Pick a speaker.
Some of the speakers have been sharing their wisdom at Theology-on-Tap for the past few years. If there is a speaker you've heard about, plan to hear him/her at their next Theology-on-Tap talk. Directions to all the parishes hosting Theology-on-Tap are included on this site.

4) Attend Theology-on-Tap when you can.
We are very busy people. Even if you can't attend all four sessions, please come to Theology-on-Tap whenever you can. Theology-on-Tap is offered Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings beginning on July 8th.

5) Plan Sunday Mass at Theology-on-Tap.
A number of churches hosting Theology-on-Tap on Sunday hold Mass right before the program begins. Why not attend both Mass and Theology-on-Tap?

6) Invite a friend or co-worker.
Occasionally the topic of religion surfaces among friends or co-workers. Many, like us, are spiritual searchers and seekers. Perhaps a Theology-on-Tap topic would interest them. Why not invite them to attend Theology-on-Tap as your guest?

7) Keep the Theology-on-Tap newsletter with you.
If you are on the mailing list to receive the Theology-on-Tap newsletter, keep the newsletter with you in your backpack, briefcase, purse or car. Maybe you have a free evening in which
to attend Theology-on-Tap. Find a church, pick an issue or speaker for that evening and go! If you are in your 20s or 30s, you are welcome anytime and anywhere Theology-on-Tap is taking place.

8) It's on the web site: www.yamchicago.org.
Forgot your Theology-on-Tap newsletter at home or left it at work? No problem! You will find all the information for Theology-on-Tap -- including descriptions of the topics -- on the internet at www.yamchicago.org. Add the web site to your favorite places. Throughout the year you will find articles and programs designed especially for young adults.

9) Join us for a Mass on the Grass and a Picnic in the Quad at DePaul University. (Parking)
At the conclusion of the series, we will be holding a celebratory Mass on the Quad at DePaul University 2:00 p.m. It will be followed by a picnic at the same place 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. We invite you to join us for this concluding event on August 10th.
